Heritage farms

Good morning day

This Saturday morning is a great one. The sun is shining, all the migrating birds are chirping and fluttering like crazing and the air is crisp, smelling of fallen leaves and moist dirt and moss. I can't get enough of fall, so Ben and I are off to for a michigan autumn drive to get freshly pressed cider and pumpkins and maybe go for a little hike to take it all in.

My home

Ben and I bought our first home and could be our last, I love it that much. It's a 5 minute walk from the beautiful lake mi and right by an awesome park for winter sledding and ice skating, summer playing and a great trail for all season walks and hikes through the dunes. Our house has a huge back yard ready for a dog to run and play and a spot for a small vegetable garden. Because we have so many large trees our yard is mostly shaded, but I look forward to finding and learning about the many shade plants and flowers.

Nail art

Another cool nail trend.. I really enjoy doing nail and also love a little tasteful nail art. I think I might dust off the nail brushes and get back on it.

Muskegon

Down town Muskegon, mi

Block house

Ben and I wanted to take advantage if the beautiful Sunday we had yesterday by taking a little drive to see some fall colors, but all the colors were either blown off or still green in Muskegon. The block house is always cool anyway and good for nice views of lake mi.

Hair crush

I was born with thin stringy hair, the best thing about it is it's curly. I've always wanted long beautiful hair with lots of fringe around my face. I'm also envious of those that can color their hair any color they want. At the moment I think everyone should grow their hair out, so none of my clients are getting short haircuts because I have to live vicariously through them. They will also be getting what I cannot, red hair. I love all shades of reds, here are a few of my favorites.

Fall/winter nail trend

I love a fresh mani. Nothing makes a girl feel more feminine and so pretty. I love this dab of sparkle so much I tried it out the other day and it was awesome.

White throated sparrow

The sound of these little bird is my back yard warms my heart. It makes me truly happy to hear them. They are one of my favorite bird songs.

Wren

Wren is one of my foster kitties from the local cat shelter I volunteer for; Faithful to Felines. I love volunteering there and would make it my full time job if I could.

Anyway, Wren is 6 months old and I've had her since the second she was born. Her mom was somewhat afraid of people at the shelter and was put in a cardboard box where she could hide in a cage at the shelter while one if my fellow volunteers and I attended other cats, until we heard her scratching and meowing in the box, had no idea she was pregnant and got to watch her give birth. I volunteered to take her and her four babies home with me until they could be adopted. I get home and now there are five kittens! And that fifth one was little Wren. She is the runt and is so little and spunky, she is super duper soft, and loves to just sit on your lap. She's not much into you holding her but you can if you want. She loves to play with a bouncy ball when you throw it and doesn't shed. Wren was also born without a tail, she is very bouncy and just likes to be by your side. I would love to find her a nice home where she will be happy and make someone else happy as well. She makes us happy, but we have three of our own and another foster as well. Just let me know if you think Wren would be a good addition to your family.
